Monday, June 05, 2006 Falling Ice Exit Glacier, 6.4.2006    Back in 2001 a couple -- on their honeymoon no less -- died in a freak accident after being crushed by a slab of ice that fell from Exit Glacier (pictured). The plaintiffs for the deceased sued the park service, complaining that there were no signs cautioning that a huge slab of ice falling on your head could kill you. They won. In addition to a tidy settlement, there are now signs and ropes galore, but many visitors ignore them. Including Master's mom (pictured).
