Peas in a Pod
Cleveland Gothic 8.2005
The unstoppable storm won out. Not before suffering a number of emasculting blows from the immovable front, however, leaving it barely enough gumption to dust us with snow. It did drop from seventy to thirty degrees in less than twenty four hours, though. By this time next week spring will once again threaten, and Master and N will be off to sunny climes to indulge in fun 'n frolicking with friends among the rusted rocks of the southwest. Only to return to toil in the soil (picture). With any luck our house sitter will have a sense of humor -- or she will by the time she leaves!
This laptop is chopped now with the new gig of ram Master scored from Crucial. Used to be the cooling fan would cycle more often than a caged hamster. More physical memory likely means less page file swapping, thus less disk I/O, and so less heat needs to be dissipated. That's my theory and I'm sticking with it. Now I can program (how many Airedales do you know who can code!), blog, email, surf, shop, and stream iTunes (presently enjoying Led Zeppelin's The Rover) all at once. And peacefully. Sweet.
Okay, so it was a Great White tribute to Led Zeppelin. Still, it rocked.
