Thursday, May 11, 2006 Wet   Ah, blessed rain. Finally. And not one of those piddling on and off sprinkles either. No sir. Though not quite biblical proportion, this one is raising ground worms and breathing life back into a desciccated landscape, especially our withered Arbovitiae, which had begun to belie their Latin root: arbor, tree + vtae, genitive of vta, life; see vital.    Previously we'd been enjoying mild temperatures and bluesky, ideal for outdoor recreation:      I'm sure you are all just as busy as we are, so I'll keep this brief. The wedding plans are nearly complete, even the poetry has been selected, which brought N's mother to tears. She's visiting us this week. Which is always great because she brings us toys, usually of a Jewish theme. Last time she came Lucy and I got a dradle which played the classic dradle song when we bit into it. This time we got locx 'n bagel; I opted for the lox, Lucy the bagel. Maybe a rubber yarmulke with a squeaky inside next time?
