Wanted: Quality Assurance Specialist
A couple young uprights (boys) down the street from us were pushing lemonade this afternoon. Pink lemonade on a ninety degree day - should be a money maker. Master, an eager and generous supporter of budding entrepreneurship wherever he finds it, stopped to buy a cup on his bile bike ride home from the lab. ("Bile" ride - ha!).
"How much," he asked.
"Twenty-five cents for a small, fifty cents for a large."
"Is it cold?"
"It's real cold, Mister."
"Okay, give me a large. It's bloody hot today."
Master handed the lad a buck - fifty for the lemonade, fifty for a tip. The eyes on those two boys grew larger than two full moons.
"Wow, thanks Mister!"
Turns out the cup was half full, or half empty, depending on your mood, and the lemonade warm.
These boys are going to need some serious quality control if they're going to remain in business.
