Time Flies
Last year at Christmas Uncle D and Aunt G sent us this fruit basket. That was me watching the snowfall. It was a different world then. The lovebirds were not yet married. In fact, at the time this picture was taken marriage had not yet been proposed. They were living as POSSLQ - People of Opposite Sex Sharing Living Quarters. Now we are all merely ODSSLQ (pronounced odd-sel-q), which is Organisms of Different Species Sharing Living Quarters.
The in-laws from both sides will be visiting this weekend. This is a time for new bed sheets, caulking around the bathtub, and extreme vacuuming. Even Lucy and I are going to the hairdresser. Master? Oh he'll be there, that is when he's not neck-deep in mol-pharm and Michaelis-Menten kinetics. I'll take a family photo and post it here. Y'all can guess who's who.
In another couple months (or less) snow will again be falling in the backyard. I expect I'll be at that same window watching it happen. It's my birthday tommorw, six years wiser. It sure was a different world back then.
